Organizational Overview: Foothills Sports Medicine Physical Therapy clinics are locally owned full service facilities. We have a team of physical therapists who pride themselves on getting positive results with patients through individualized care and “handsāon” physical therapy.
Since its inception in 2000, Foothills Sports Medicine has successfully rehabilitated acute and chronic injuries, ranging from auto accidents to overuse injuries. Prior to its inception, the founder of Foothills Sports Medicine, Michael Basten PT, ATC, CSCS, worked in the greater Phoenix area for 10 years with amateur and professional athletes including Diamondbacks, Cardinals, ASU Athletics, and Professional Hockey Leagues.
Foothills Sports Medicine now has ten physical therapy facilities located throughout Phoenix and a tenth clinic will be opening soon in Litchfield Park.
Business Need: All the employees rely heavily on access to a software application called Intergy to manage their practice. A pain point before engaging with InSwift was extremely slow access from 1 server at the central office to PCs at the remote offices.
Solution: InSwift reviewed, recommended and installed a Microsoft Terminal Server located in the central business office. InSwift then slowly replaced workstations with thinclients at each of the remote offices. This migration resulted in increased speed using the Intergy application because data pulled over the slower “WAN” link was reduced.
Benefits: The Microsoft Terminal Server installation also brought security, stability and centralized management to the Foothills network. As a result, Foothills Sports Medicine has been able to expand easily with the opening of new offices by using the Microsoft Terminal Server/Thin Client combination.
